Hirshhorn Museum

While in Washington, I wanted to check out the Hirshhorn Museum specifically to see "Big Man" by Australian artist Ron Mueck. Much to my disappointment, "Big Man" was on tour, and won't be back until the fall. I still loved the museum of modern art and sculpture. My son doesn't "get" modern art and told me so at every turn. I told him that I don't get it either, but I just like it! Maybe as he gets older, he will develop an appreciation for art.

Yeah, I don't necessarily 'get it', either, but it's almost always fascinating or eye-catching.....like your photos -thanks for 'taking us there'!

I don't get the art either, but I can always find peace in the colors and displays...I do think some of the art is fascinating. Thanks for the art tour.

About the moles...they make mole traps, but we use cats. hehehe
The cats hunt and catch the moles, but unfortunately the moles multiply like rabbits.

We are currently searching for something better than cats.

About the moon flowers being poisonous...
We don't do anything but smell them. I don't pick them either. Last year the cats played and shredded several of them with no effects to the cats...they are all still here.
Thanks for the warning...I'm going to google them. I've also heard of a smaller variety of colorful moon flowers.
