The Crocodile Hunter was a big influence in our lives. Steve Irwin taught my children that all animals, no matter how unpopular or predatory, live in this world with us, and deserve to be respected and protected. Irwin entertained us while teaching us conservation. Additionally, he taught us about being enthusiastic and passionate about life; and the importance of family. We will miss you Steve, rest in peace.

We have lost a wonderful person when we lost Steve Irwin. He was so exciting to watch and so enthusiastic about what he was doing.
Are those pictures of your boys with the Steve Irwin doll? I hope that all children realize that it was just a freak accident.
Jimmy's nephew got struct by a stingray when he was about 12 in Florida and had to be rushed to the hospital for surgery...but he's okay and is now in his 50's.
I am thinking that Steve was out of his element in the ocean. He could not move as quickly away from danger while he was in the water. Yes, AIP, that is the Steve Irwin "action fiqure" and his croc. (we don't call them "dolls" when the boys play with them!haha!)
I am thinking that Steve was an adrenolin junkie and needed the thrill of a dangerous situation at all times. Yes, he was probably out of his element in the ocean but someone most likely encouraged him in this project. Too bad.
I think he will be missed by the world and that he was a great conservationist. He will most assuredly be missed by his children not knowing their father as they grow up and by his wife of 15+ years who will never get to hold her husband again. Too bad.
Very sad that he passed away. Feel bad for his kids.
So very sad. I can't help thinking of his poor, heartbroken wife and kids. The world has lost a great teacher and conservationist.
