Doggie doctoring

My Airedale dog, Ransome, has scratched himself a raw spot on his neck. The wound is at his jawline on the side of his face, adjacent to his eye. This is an impossible place to bandage. I put some antibiotic on it and bandaged it with some vet wrap in front and behind his ears. It didn't take five minutes for him to scratch at the area with his back paw and rip the bandage. I will have to watch him closely today to keep the medicine intact. He wouldn't even look at me to have his picture taken. He seems embarrrased about the orange bandage. (maybe the other dogs are laughing!)

We are still working on the new room that we are building in the garage. We will have a new laundry room and craft room instead of the one-car attached garage that we never used. It is a lot of work, but it will be nice when it is done. I have a new high tech washer & dryer being delivered on Monday. I can't wait to do laundry (did I just say that?) Well, when you are retired - housework is your life!!!

The new addition looks great. You will really enjoy the project when it is completed. Are you going to post pictures of your new high-tech washer/dryer after it's installed? Most of us consider our washer/dryer high-tech if it runs (although mine has stainless insides -- if you want to call that high-tech).

Too bad your mom doesn't want to relocate to FL. Maybe next year.

Your new addition is looking good and welcomed space is always needed. Unlike You...washing clothes and cleaning house are not part of my retirement. Those went by the wayside when I retired. They used to be part of my everyday life, but now they come in dead last although they get done with some moaning & growning and a lot of growling.
If Jimmy would consent to it, I'd hire a housekeeper to come in once or twice a week.

It's too bad that your mother isn't being a bit more cooperative and come move in with you. I only hope that one of my children would want to take care of me when I'm old and no longer able to care for myself. Give your mom & younger brother more time, but like you said, I think it will probably take something terrible to happen first before they see what's best.

You're doing a great job. That lighting looks neat.
Poor Ransome. I hope he gets better soon. It's not nice to be embarrassed in front of your buddies :)
Now listen Tuff, you need to get out more! When you're excited about doing laundry, well......
But I guess a new high tech washer and drier would be fun to try.

Try using Lavender Oil on Ransome's sore and if necessary put an Elizabethian collar on him for awhile. That will really give Buddy and Hemi something to laugh at. I'm so sorry that you couldn't get your Mom to come back with you - and yes, it will take a serious incident to get her to see reason - unless the reasoning power is diminished. You know what I went through and it isn't easy. Eddie is all for locking me in a cage with my knitting needles and feeding me once a day......Hiding in the High Desert
