Deck

Over the past weekend we painted the deck and we were not pleased with the color. I got some more Behr deck paint yesterday, and spent all day on the re-paint. I am still not happy with the color.
I was looking for dark brown, but the chips on the chart just don't match the real color, it's sort of a reddish-brown, even though the color was named "chocolate" (I was thinking dark chocolate not milk chocolate!) Anyway, I guess I will get used to it.

I wore my "CROCS" while painting with a big roller. I didn't notice until several hours later that I had ruined my shoes with paint spatter all over them! I was so disapointed, 'cause I love those shoes, so I tried to clean them. Dish soap and one of those potscrubbers did the trick! All the paint came off, then I polished them with some Pledge.

These are some cool, comfortable shoes!

When we put in our deck everybody said to stain it. I said NO, I want just a water sealer on it and natural wood. We also used Behr (the best on the market, BTW). At first I was disappointed with the color but gradually got used to it. It was darker than I imagined but it actually turned out quite nice. I can see where you were disappointed -- wanting something a chocolate brown and getting a reddish color. Oh well, all's well that ends well. Glad you were able to get your cool shoes cleaned up. That'll teach you to wear something comfortable when you should be wearing something disposable.

Hope you get used to your deck color. Now where do you find those shoes? I am always looking for something comfortable and those look like just what I like.

You sure are diligent to repaint! Sorry the color didn't come out the way you expected. Looks great to me!

My "CROCS" are bright yellow. All of that band stuff going on here too.
