Did I really need another camera?

My new camera, Cannon Power Shot SD630. I have two really nice cameras. I did not need another one. I talked myself into buying this one by saying that it is small enough for me to carry with me all the time. My other cameras have long lenses, they are big and bulky. This camera is so sweet! Large 3 inch view on the back, and lots of special features. So we will see - will I take more photos? I hope so.

I love photos! I have about 5,000 pictures in memory, mostly of the boys and the school band! So, I guess I can justify a new camera for my expensive hobby!

You can justify it by the amount of money you are saving on film and prints, yeah digital.

You can feel justified and philanthropic simultaneously if you send one of your "extra" cameras to a poor poet in Middle Tennessee whose HP digital died last year and has not been replaced.

We bought a small camera for just the same reasons as you mention, and it IS handy - I take it in my handbag, or Fatty takes it in a pocket, especially to social occasions.

Completley justifiable!

um, that should read 'completely'!

I'm sure you will justify your new camera. I love my little camera because I can carry it in my jeans pocket, and it's always ready & very handy...no digging into my purse to find it.

Sounds perfectly reasonable to me. I love my little Canon Powershot S410. It fits snuggly in my pocket or purse and goes almost everywhere with me. I'd love a bigger digital camera too and a nice zoom lens. And a macro, etc., etc. Oh yes, this hobby could get expensive!
You should try out the movie feature. It's fun :)
