Not so busy today
It rained today. I hate to do housework on rainy days (or any other day, but it is a good excuse!) I decided to organize the keys. Like everybody else, I have keys. We hang our usual car keys or house keys on a cute little hook thing just inside the front door. I encourage everyone to use these hooks, and get in the habit of hanging up their keys, so they won't lose them somewhere in the house. Weird keys have collected there over the years, and some of them are obscure. I decided to catalog them, and throw away the ones that I don't need anymore. This process took a lot longer than I thought it would, but I figured them all out, and labeled them all with key tags. I discovered that I still had some keys from work! OOPS!

Keys multiply in drawers when left alone, I'm sure. We have lots of those odd, no-one-knows-what-they're-for keys, too. I must go through them one day!
The key to keeping your keys from mating, multiplying, and producing offspring is to have them neutered or spayed. Or, as you have done, putting them on separate, color-coded, and labeled keyrings and tossing the outdated ones away. Wish we were all so organized.
I came to your site through Jellyhead and started reading and enjoying your posts.
Thanks for your nice comments on my blog, and thanks for reading me. Hope you visit me often.
As soon as you throw out the unused and unknown keys you will discover that one of those keys was the key to the garage.
I try to keep our keys organized and label the rarely used keys...just so that doesn't happen again.
You inspired me to do the key cleanup and I found car keys from 20 years ago. I don't think I need those anymore.
Hey think I will have a key sort they did something like this on a UK tv show some years back and asked for the keys to be sent to them to be sold for scrap they made thousands of pounds for charity
